Dreams by nature are fleeting. They are something that have some resemblance of reality without actually being real. Often times in a dream one cannot even tell that they aren't living their day to day life.  Therefore by nature dreams are designed not only to trick us but to pacify us. Memories to a certain extent are just dreams. Often times they are warped perspectives on events however in a more realistic fashion. Memories like dreams however I believe are also designed in order to trick those who hold them. I would argue that crawling is to to walking as memories are to dreams, both equally important however they build upon each other to create something entirely new, something the conscious mind cannot comprehend.

Apolline Etienne created this work called Special Delivery. This piece of artwork immediately stood out to me because of the contrast of light and dark. Often time artwork that includes dark colors has a grim and dark tone however I believe this piece resonates with joy, hope, and a new beginning. The hard edges of shapes roll into other shapes so smoothly and effortlessly while also still possessing uniqueness.
